I came across this new media artist who covers anything from video to still life. He takes a simple object and idea and turns in into a creative piece of art. His "No Strings Attached" video shows a chair with the illusion that is being kicked around several times without the help of a person or the use of strings. The movement of the chair alone leads us to believe that a person is causing the chair to react in this particular motion. Pascual does not say how he made this video, but it is up to our imagination to decide how it was created. If you can find the time, go onto his site and watch some of his videos. They are quite interesting.
"PUSH/PULL (MY LUCK IS YOUR MISFORTUNE)"
The first video on his site that caught my attention was the one shown above entitled "Push/Pull (my luck is your misfortune)." He complied several different perspectives of roadways with moving automobiles on top. A circular effect was added to the media in order to create a tunnel-like effect for the active roadways. I feel that this is a very creative way to turn traffic into an interesting form of art through the use of new media.
